The consequences of our society’s construction madness can be observed in Spain, notably in the community of Madrid. There exist three forms of ghost towns or urban embryos. Soulless towns sit isolated in the Spanish countryside where the urban landscape contains only a multitude of rows of shady-windowed housing units. Acres of mazes of asphalt roads that lead nowhere and never end provide a home for a cemetery of streetlights.
In the hilly scenery evidence remains of a land previously occupied by a network of power lines that resembles a necropolis.
Going from a complete absence of materials and living souls and passing by fields of tires to closed entrances. What remains of these abandoned towns and their rare inhabitants?
